There are many Wolf-Hybrids or WolfDogs out there, these and real wolves are rapidly becoming extreamly
fashionable. Unfortunately with many of these dogs, they are bought as a status symbols, with no for-thought and once the
owners can no longer cope with them they are destroyed. This is an attrocity.
Wolves do not make pets, and nor should they. Some named wolfdogs, are the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog and the Saarloos Wolfdog. These have been bred from mixing the Carpathian Wolf and the European Wolf (respectively) with German Shepards, they are a stunning breed, but require a great deal of space and experience. Any dog with any amount of wolf content in it is not legal in the UK without a Dangerous Wild Animals License and may not be bred from without a Zoo license.
